Summer Program Team

Planning for daily recreation and activities such as camp wide games, morning rotations, and free time activities

Assist in the coordination and oversight of archery/axe-throwing/pellet shooting

Responsible for the maintenance, storage and organization of recreation equipment (rec shed; archery shed)

Plan daily crafts for the summer camping season and retreats, adjusting for a variety of age groups, abilities and camp themes

Be trained to use the kiln; create porcelain molds and offer as an activity to campers

Support the general decor of the camp including merchandise designs, props for skits, and items to fit the theme of each camp week

Keep the craft areas organized and accessible

Plan daily worship sets, adjusting for a variety of age groups and camp themes

Maintain the music equipment; keep organized and clean
-
Organize campfires, including silly songs, worship songs and skits
-
Overseeing all that happens at the waterfront including the coordination of activities both in the lake and at the waterfront areas

Responsible for the supervision (safety and testing) of campers and staff
-
You must be 18+ years old

You must have National Lifeguard Certification, as well as AED + CPR-C
-
This role may require working with our volunteer medic and/or Program Director to keep track of medications

Responsible for a cabin of 12 campers who you will co-lead and be with in all aspects of camp life

Plan for cabin life with a variety of age groups. Be prepared with cabin activities, decorations, stories, etc.

Support and train any LIT’s or volunteers who might co-lead a cabin with you
-
Be open to having conversations with campers. Be prepared to share about your faith journey and life experiences.

Oversight of the LIT’s, under the direction of the Program Director

Daily check-ins with LIT’s (individually and in a group) as well as plan late-night team bonding events for each camp week
-
Support the Program Director in planning LIT volunteer placements

Help lead daily devotional for our facility staff (with LIT’s and others who may be present)
Facility Staff

Work with Camp Managers to keep the facility functioning and clean

Maintain the grounds and keep the various areas of the camp safe

Be at all training sessions, summer camps and retreats indicated in the application

This role may require completing other tasks as assigned by the Camp Managers and Program Director when needed

Work with the Head Cook to provide nutritious and healthy meals, keep food service running smoothly, and ensure cleanliness
